You can redeem your points as a statement credit—you need at least 1,000 points in your account so that you can apply them to pay for charges on your credit card statement. You can redeem a minimum of 5,000 points to book travel on American Express Travel and receive 35% of your points back.

- Global Entry or TSA PreCheck®: The American Express Business Platinum Card® lets you receive a statement credit every four years after you apply for Global Entry ($100) or every four-and-a-half years after you apply for TSA PreCheck® ($85).
- Delta Sky Club: You must be at least 18 years old to access a Delta Sky Club and 21 years old to access locations that have a self-service bar. To enter a Delta Sky Club, you must present a valid American Express card, your government ID, and your airline ticket for that day.

Insurance Protection
- Purchase protection: This is eligible for purchased items that are damaged or stolen within 90 days from the date of the Covered Purchase. American Express will reimburse the amount charged to your card, up to $10,000 per claim and $50,000 per card member each year.
- Extended warranty protection: The American Express Business Platinum Card® extends the warranty for up to one additional year on items with an original manufacturer’s warranty of five years or less.
- Cellphone protection: This provides reimbursement for the repair or replacement costs of your mobile device following damage or theft for a maximum of $800 per claim, with a limit of two approved claims per 12-month period. To be eligible, your cellphone line should be listed on a wireless bill, and the prior month’s wireless bill should’ve been paid by your American Express credit card. Note that a $50 deductible will apply to each approved claim.
